In Clash of Clans, you can invite your best friends to form a clan together, or you can join a clan created by other players. Fighting together as a tribe against the enemy will greatly enhance your fighting strength. You can also build forts and collect landscapes to build your village.
After forming your clan, you can then train your army. Finding and repairing a clan allows you to get more powerful troops to attach to the villages. You need to pay for the repair work, so always save your money for the upcoming work. Besides, if you’re not ready to repair, you can join an experienced clan to meet new people as well as gain experience, and become stronger.
As gold and elixir are essential to the game, you might consider gaining more of them by upgrading the extractors and mines at the beginning, as they yield gold and elixir continuously. It’s more like a primitive accumulation. The more you have, the easier you’ll make progress.
It might be confusing to store the gold by spending them. It’s actually a strategy to minimize the losses. Now that other players will attack and take your treasures away, you can buy some decorative items in the shop before logging out, especially when you’ll not be back for a while. Though you can only get 50% of your gold back by selling the items, it’s way better than giving all the gold away to other players.
The reason why it’s a bad idea to throw all your troops into the battle at once lies in certain defensive buildings cost great damage. If there’s a big density of troops, the mortars may kill them all easily. Hence, save some of your troops to join the battle at the right timing.

Update: Changed my review to 4 stars 🤩 They added the screen recording feature! The only downside that I have to deal with still is that in order to connect the bluetooth earpiece you have to disconnect the call and then call the person back if you didn’t have it connected prior to the call. It’s so annoying!
